With lockdown measures easing across the UK, more companies are reporting their plans to restart. Among those in today’s newscast, Martin Hitchin, Chief Executive of REHAU UK Ltd outlines the firm’s phased return to work at its Blaenau Ffestiniog windows profile manufacturing site. And award winning commercial installer, The Window Company (Contracts), has produced its own online video reassuring customers that it is safe and ready to get back to work.

Following on from the acquisition of essential assets from the administrators of Aperture Trading Ltd, which includes the Evolve, Legend and WarmCore brands, profine Group have sold the finished window and door manufacturing facilities to Solar Norvik Ltd & Solar Calibre Doors Ltd for an undisclosed sum. Gareth Jones, managing director of profine UK commented: ‘It made commercial sense to buy all of the remaining assets from KPMG, the administrators of Aperture Trading, but given our group mantra of excelling in our core competences, we’ve found a reputable partner for the manufacturing facilities.”

Looking to assist in the recovery of the entire industry, both the GGF and CORGI Fenestration have made safe working documents available to all. John Agnew, Managing Director said: “It is important the industry’s supply chain starts functioning and for companies to work together. However, they must ensure they can work safely within the Government Guidance which is the foundation of our all of our articles, Safe Guides and advice.”
