With over 5.3 million people living near our country’s coastline, aluminium fabricators are being rest assured that all hardware from hardware supplier AT Precision is designed to withstand the seaside climate.
The Durham-based company recently had its entire Everglide range of aluminium bi-fold hardware salt spray tested, achieving the maximum 480-hour cycle time required for a Grade 5 on the BSEN1670 scale.
AT Precision sales director Michael Hewitt comments: “Along with general pollution, salt spray in the air can attack metal coatings on hardware, tarnishing them very quickly.
“Our Everglide range of hardware has now been proven to be resistant to corrosion, meaning aluminium fabricators can offer attractive and high-performing bi-fold door solutions for coastal properties.”
AT Precision’s Everglide range includes rollers, top guides, pull handles, hinges, cleats and shootbolt handles, all of which are made from cast aluminium and are claimed to be compatible with major systems.
The company also manufactures the Everseal range of gaskets, also compatible with major systems, and supplies espagnolette window handles, the Ingenious Duplex MPL from Ingenious Locks, as well as plastic ancillaries which include injection-moulded cill end caps and adapter caps.
Michael continues: “Providing high-quality products and exceptional service has always been paramount to us. Now that our hardware has been successfully salt spray tested, we’re guaranteeing products that will not only perform well, but will also stand the test of time.”
