Timber hardware supplier, BJ Waller, has added the Royde & tucker Hi-Load H086 lift-off hinge to its range of specialist hardware for timber casement windows.
The H086 butt hinge has recently been tested for use on the Lignum casement window system, supporting the traditional appearance and opening function that timber window manufacturers often need to retain, while providing proven performance, says the company.
Although tested for the Lignum system, the Hi-Load hinge is suitable for traditional casement window applications thanks to its smaller size of 85 x 76 x 2.64mm, making it a practical option for joinery manufacturers looking to maintain classic window aesthetics alongside reliable operation and long-term durability, says the company.
Manufactured from Grade 304 stainless steel, the Royde & Tucker H086 hinge is available in choice of finishes including satin stainless steel, dark bronze, black and antique brass. The maintenance free hinge is supplied with a 25-year mechanical guarantee when correctly specified and fitted.
Luke Piper, business development director – Timber, BJ Waller, said: “The H086 is a useful addition to our timber window hinge range because it supports the traditional look and operation that many joiners want to preserve.
Testing for the Lignum casement window gives customers working with that system additional confidence but is also a strong option for wider traditional timber casement applications which require a butt hinge with reliable operation and performance.”
The hinge is available now from BJ Waller, supported by the team’s specialist knowledge of timber window and door hardware.
