Customers Call The Shots On Window Ware 2020 Christmas Shutdown

With the whole fenestration industry having to up-pace to meet increased demand, as well as adapt to new ways of working this winter because of Coronavirus, Window Ware figured its usual festive opening times might not truly meet its customers’ needs this year.

So, in a quick email survey posted last month, the hardware distributor invited all its hard-working fabricators and installers to reveal exactly when they would be working this Christmas. That way, Window Ware could adjust its opening hours to suit and make sure its team was on hand to support them with essential hardware when it really mattered.

According to the survey results, customers said…

… they would be shutting down at some point between the 21st and 24th December, but the majority of respondents said they’d be working up until the 23rd of December.

… in most cases, they weren’t working between Christmas and New Year, and they intended to return to work in January. Any customers planning to remain open said they wouldn’t need to purchase supplies.

The customers talked. Window Ware listened. And so, they’ve scheduled their Christmas shutdown to fit in around them.

Window Ware will be taking orders right up until 3.30pm on Wednesday 23rd December 2020 for delivery next day on Christmas Eve for stocked items – which would possibly make them one of the few UK hardware distributors to stay open so late.

The office will be closed between the 24th December 2020 and 3rd January 2021, with the team back at their desks and ready to take the first customer orders of the year on Monday 4th January 2021.

Based on their research, Window Ware is confident these times will ensure its busy customers have access to the hardware, tools and materials they need to get through the inevitable flurry of jobs before Christmas and be well-prepared to crack on with work in the New Year.

In the meantime, Window Ware would like to wish everybody a happy, healthy festive season and thank all its customers and brand partners for sticking with them through what’s been a particularly demanding year for everyone. 2021 will no doubt bring its own trials, but Window Ware believes we’re all #InThisTogether and we’re ready to rise to any challenge.
