Composite door manufacturer Apeer continues to invest in lead generation for its installer partners, with new updates to its Doorbuilder programme announced for 2018.
Linda Tomb, Marketing Manager explains: “We are always looking at ways we can improve our Doorbuilder programme and, following feedback from customers, we have rolled out a number of key updates to help make the process work better for our installers and also homeowners using the online version of the programme.
“Seeing a large number of changes is the offline version of the programme, which is used by our installer partners in their showrooms as a visual and pricing tool. Following feedback at last year’s FIT Show, our IT technicians have now added an ‘automatic update’ feature to the Doorbuilder programme, meaning installers don’t have to manually update it themselves or re-download the software; it’s now all done at the touch of a button. We are hoping for a seamless update with minimal need for IT support; however our team will of course be on hand to help with any queries.
“With 80% of our orders coming through the offline programme, it is imperative that the system is easy to navigate and operate and the addition of optional upgrades such as; Karcher lever and Bar handle choices, Conexis Yale locks, Secured by Design upgrades for all options, updated backing glass options for complete privacy and an extended range of glass designs and bespoke glass options mean that placing orders is quicker and easier for installers and our order processing team. We can now offer 100% matching door and sidelight glass on a number of designs on the system plus many more user-friendly updates.”
The online version of Apeer’s Doorbuilder has also seen an exciting update this year, where users have the option to see how their chosen door would actually look in-situ, by uploading an image of their home to the website. As Linda continues, the feature has so far been very well received and the Ballymena company has seen an increase of leads through the system: “We are receiving a lot of good leads each week from the online Doorbuilder, and we hit our biggest order week in March, just one month after this new feature was added. This in turn has helped our customers see the potential of having a bespoke version of Doorbuilder for their own websites, enabling them to manage all leads it generates in addition to any we pass on from the main Apeer Doorbuilder site. So far we have 30% of our customers up and running with the bespoke version of the system and a further 30% set up and almost ready to launch. We continue to work with our installers on evolving the lead generation programme through Doorbuilder and other digital media to help push the Apeer brand awareness to homeowners and help them convert even more enquiries into sales.”
