Giovanni Laporta, inventor and innovator of Smart Ready, has congratulated Nickie West and her FIT Show team, for creating the perfect environment for ‘excellent commercial opportunities and a fantastic reunion of people’.
Gio comments: “For us, FIT 2022 underlined how great it was to be back out with people again, sharing innovation. While we were certain the show would be good for us, we were super happy with the amazing comments about Smart Ready, the stand, the model, and the brand. Perhaps most flattering, were numerous comments about Smart Ready being ‘the face of FIT 2022.’ However, whilst hearing all the comments was great, we were not there for endorsement. We were there to do business, and this is exactly what we did. Since the show we have engaged with a significant number of the world’s leading brands and some of Europe’s and the UK’s leading profile houses, fabricators and hardware suppliers, who are all excited by the huge commercial benefits offered by Smart Ready certification.
“The launch of our Smart FactcheckedTM service was really well-received and it was so encouraging to see genuine enlightenment when visitors saw things in an easy-to-digest format and understood the varying quality of features of current smart solutions in our sector. The true lightbulb moments came when we explained that Smart Ready moves the technical responsibility associated with smart and all the technological implications elsewhere. That’s it. In one sentence. It’s not the fabricator or installers’ problem to maintain or get involved with the technology, something they’re not necessarily familiar or comfortable with. This underlines how Smart Ready’s aim is to help the industry and the supply chain get to an immediate position where they can trust – or not – what they’re being told about smart windows and doors. Following FIT, the Smart Factchecked service is already helping businesses feel more comfortable about the world of smart, building confidence and knowledge around new emerging smart technology solutions
“In addition to the excellent commercial opportunities, The FIT Show in general was a fantastic reunion of people. Personally, I found it quite emotional being back in the heart of it all, having spent the last few years pretty insular, behind a desk and laptop, focusing solely on new innovations, only some of which we launched at the show. The reactions received and the connections made during the show proved to me that all those months of isolation have paid off in the form of one tech, one power, one sensor.
“We are super excited to see what happens over the next 12 months, but for now, thank you to Nickie and team for providing a fantastic opportunity to share and educate face to face.”
