Passivhaus is the fastest growing energy performance standard in the world. It aims to dramatically reduce the need for space heating and cooling, and typically cuts energy use and CO2 emissions by a factor of 10. Passivhaus buildings are comfortable and require minimal heating with a space heating demand predicted to be 15 kWh/m2/year.
