Window Ware first launched Regal Hardware back in 2018 as the first key-lockable heritage-style handle that worked just as well on original timber and modern timber-alternative PVCu flush sash windows, as on standard 70mm PVCu casements.
This month, Window Ware looks all set to repeat that success with the launch of a brand-new and improved Mark II Regal handle that retains all the old-world charm and present-day advantages of the original, along with some eagerly anticipated upgrades.
Most notable of the new features is the new push-button operation, which delivers robust and familiar modern espag handling, and the new positive ‘click’ on close mechanism, which ensures full engagement and prevents misuse. Both these new features come as a direct response to market feedback, and work to enhance usability, improve mechanical performance and prolong service life.
With burnished metallic accents bang on trend for home décor this year, the newest Regal Hardware finishes in rose gold and brushed copper are promising to be high on the wish lists of style-conscious homeowners and a desirable addition to any fabricator’s product offering. With 9 different finishes available in total – from antique bronze and traditional black to polished chrome and a more durable PVD gold – and a choice of monkey tail or pear drop designs, Regal Hardware can easily coordinate with a wide range of hardware finishes in the home.
Other new features include interchangeable spindles to reduce stock holding and colour-matched screws that pay attention to every last detail. In addition, new colour-coded bags make it easier for fabricators to quickly distinguish left and right-hand variants, saving time during manufacture.
Even though the Mark II handle only goes on general release this month, fabricators of The Residence Collection have in fact been using the upgraded handle for 5 months already thanks to exclusive access through Window Ware’s new hardware distribution partnership with the Residence system house.
“Feedback on the new handle has been extremely positive,” reports Window Ware’s Product Manager, Rob Vaughan. “Fabricators are definitely liking the look and feel of the Mark II, especially as the new features do a great job of resolving any previously reported issues. They’re also confident their customers are going to love the on-trend new finishes.”
The Regal Hardware Mark II heritage handle, along with matching dummy or working pegs and stays, is available to buy from Window Ware now.
