Demand For Colour Fuels 40% Growth For Deceuninck In Q1 2021


Deceuninck has reported growth of 40%, year-on-year, for the first quarter of 2021, following high levels of activity in the retail sector and strong demand for premium products including flush casements, colour and finish.

Rob McGlennon, Deceuninck’s Managing Director, commented: “We enjoyed consecutive months of record sales under lockdown conditions in the latter half of last year and that has carried through into the start of 2021.

“This has been fuelled by the home improvement boom created by Covid, but also by increasing demand from consumers for higher value items and especially for colour.


Freefoam Building Products Launch New Video To Showcase Pilkington Plastics.


Based in Horsham, West Sussex, Pilkington Plastics specialise in the supply and fitting of fascia, soffit, cladding, windows and doors. Installation is a busy and growing part of the business and the new video features a recent project on a large four bedroom home with Black Ash fascia and Black guttering. The original white wood roofline had been on the property since it was first built about 20 years ago and needed replacing and the homeowner wanted a finish that complemented the design and style of the property.

Full solution fabricator Central Window Systems has appointed a new Aluminium Customer Service Team to support installers with commercial opportunities and provide them with leads to help them succeed.

Alutech Collaborates With Tech Aluminium Systems On The Forge


The Forge is a stunning new build apartment complex in Digbeth, Birmingham, that utilises Alutech’s aluminium systems for the windows and doors. Fabricated by one of Alutech’s longest standing commercial fabricators, Tech Aluminium Systems, the steel frame building features Alutech’s SL160 systems for lift and slide doors, as well as Alutech’s W72 and W62 window systems.

The project was self-managed by the development company and what really sets it apart is the way in which the specialist trades were asked to design their own interfaces with the structure of the building and liaise with each other to devise workable solutions.


New Technical Support Manager At Kenrick


Hardware supplier Kenrick has appointed Daran Woodcock as technical support manager.

Daran has joined Kenrick from The Residence Collection, where he was technical support engineer. Daran, who is celebrating 21 years in the industry this year, has also worked in engineering and technical roles for a number of well-known names in the industry, including Epwin, Wintech and Emplas.

Based at Kenrick’s headquarters in West Bromwich, Daran will provide technical support to Kenrick’s nationwide customer base.
