New Composite Colours From Endurance

 

Endurance Doors have extended their range of colours and finishes for their solid timber core composite doors to 19, with the introduction of Brilliant Blue and Sage.

The introduction of Brilliant Blue reflects the anticipated trend towards blue as the next ‘in vogue’ colour, which has been identified by many influential interior design and paint specialists over the last 12 months, including Dulux and Pantone. According to sampleboard.com ‘the colour blue is evocative of the sea and the sky. It brings together the deepest depths of the ocean with the lightness of the seventh cloud. Wendland Launches New Square Lantern

 

Wendland has launched a new square Lantern design. The square Lantern, which is available in PVCu from 1st October and in aluminium from early 2022, is available in sizes from 500m square, up to 4000mm square.

Commenting about the new design, Wendland brand manager, Chloe McGrath, said: “Our Lantern was already available in a range of rectangular sizes up to 6000mm x 3000mm, but we know that the square (or pyramid) design is getting very popular and so have added it to our range. The new Square Lantern has all the features of the rectangular style and we’re sure it will be just as popular with our customers.”

GM Fundraising’s GMF Cup 2021 Golfing Competition Tees Up Over £40,000 For Hope House Children’s Hospices

 

GM Fundraising has confirmed that its GMF Cup 2021 golfing competition has raised £41,033.74 for Hope House Children’s Hospices. The Ryder-Cup style event took place 14-16 September in Quinta do Lago, Portugal and saw two teams made up of representatives from the industry go head-to-head.

Gary Morton, founder of GM Fundraising, said: “It was great to return to Quinta do Lago for our fundraising event. Having had to postpone it twice, it was incredibly rewarding to finally be able to get it over the line and raise some much-needed funds for the families and kids at Hope House Children’s Hospices.”

Freefoam, Hero’s Of Zero

 

As many manufacturing plants strive towards operating in a more sustainable way to help reduce waste and manage valuable resources, Freefoam Building Products has announced a significant milestone on their journey.  Working with waste and energy partner BIFFA, Freefoam says it sends no site waste to landfill.

Production and site waste is processed in three ways.

In the year to date 44.43% of its general waste was foam and rigid plastic which is   collected by its waste partner who process it in to shredded PVC recyclate format. This material is a valuable commodity and can be used to manufacture many other products. The remaining 8.77% of packaging and cardboard is also sent to be recycled.

NSG Group And Cohda Collaborate To Create Futuristic Electrical Glass Applications

 

The NSG Group, owner of Pilkington United Kingdom Limited, has collaborated with product design studio Cohda to create new futuristic glass applications that deliver power to devices without the need for wires.

The glass manufacturer will supply its NSG TEC electrically conductive glass to customers of Cohda, which will combine the product with its Power-Tap (P-Tap) wireless power technology.

P-Tap technology allows electricity or data to be transferred wirelessly through a transparent conductive coating to power any device. This allows glass to act as a wire, transferring power out through contact alone.

The Consultancy Delivers For SWC Trade Frames

 

SWC Trade Frames, based in Scarborough, has become the latest composite door specialist to choose The Consultancy’s Tranquility quoting and ordering software, which gives trade customers the option to design products, get quotes and place orders direct from the SWC website.

Customers previously used a standard single sheet price list for the whole of the SWC range. Now, they can set up their own online accounts and use the bespoke SWC Tranquility Composite Door Builder to design and quote using any product combination – either face to face with a customer or after a sales visit, and even print off a PDF showing the final door selection to give to the homeowner as confirmation. Once the quote is accepted, the customer can log back into their account and place their order direct.
