Growth Of Maintenance Division Signals Positive Year For Dortech

A brave decision made during the toughest economic conditions of the past decade, has proven a game-changer for a commercial glazing specialist.

That’s the bold statement made by James Sutherland, managing director of Yorkshire-headquartered Dortech Group, as the business prepares for a big year of trading.

The company’s glazing maintenance division is forecast to almost double its turnover to £1m in 2019, which will take Dortech to a £10m organisation overall. The expansion – which comes as a result of a growing reputation and complex market conditions – has also kickstarted a recruitment drive and a £200,000 investment in the team’s Huddersfield factory.


New Range Of Friction Stays From Kenrick


Kenrick has strengthened its range of market-leading hardware solutions with the launch of a comprehensive suite of friction stays.

Designed to combine optimum weather-sealing, security and operational performance, the friction stays are made from high grade stainless steel and are suitable for PVC-u, timber and aluminium windows of all sizes.

The new Kenrick range includes standard hinges for top hung and side hung windows, egress emergency exit hinges and egress easy-clean hinges. They are available in two stack heights – 13mm and 17mm – and a number of lengths, including 8”, 10”, 12”, 16”, 20” and 24”.


Freefoam Sales Up In 2018


Leading roofline, rainwater and cladding manufacturer Freefoam reports a strong increase in year-on-year sales. The company says its impressive performance is down to an innovative product range and a policy of working closely with customers to help them grow.

VEKA Recycling Begins Production At New Wellingborough HQ


VEKA Recycling Ltd, the UK’s leading recycler of PVC-U post consumer window profiles, has begun full production at the company’s brand new headquarters site in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire.

From acquisition in February of the 5.5 acre site on the town’s Finedon Road Industrial Estate and after undergoing a substantial refurbishment, rebuilding work and industrial fit out, the facility is now converting full loads of virgin, post consumer and industrial profiles into high quality PVC-U compound.
