Window News Interactive FiT Show Map goes live!

 

The Window News Interactive Map of the FIT Show floor plan has now gone live. Featuring a full A-Z listing plus a detailed layout of each of the halls at the NEC, visitors to the Show can plan their days more effectively by instantly locating whose stands they want to call on to.

The Map is also mobile friendly to enable visitors to carry the information with them at the Exhibition.

There is a link to the Map on the Window News website and a link will also appear on each Tuesday and Thursday newscast up to and during the Show.

Merlin, Blairs And Saveheat Turn To Kömmerling

GGF Promises Stimulating Seminar At FiT Show

 

The Glass and Glazing Federation’s Group Chief Executive, Kevin Buckley is set to open the Seminar Programme at this year’s FIT Show and he is promising a “stimulating presentation” with “new information” about the industry.

On his presentation which takes place at 10.30am on 21st May in the Insight Theatre in Hall 20 of the Show, Kevin commented, “In my presentation, I will be sharing information that our industry will never have heard before. Morley Supports Vets In The Community

 

Morley Glass & Glazing is helping to support a project run by student vets at the University of Nottingham.

Vets in the Community has been providing free veterinary care to pets belonging to homeless and vulnerably housed people in the Nottingham area since 2012. The project is led by students at the university’s Vet School, under supervision from experienced, qualified members of staff, out of the Big Issue office in Nottingham.

The service offers health checks, vaccinations, micro-chipping and treatment for fleas, worms and minor ailments, and can also provide advice on pet health care, for example nutrition and neutering.

Home Improvement Figures Decrease For A Second Year

 

Home improvement figures across Great Britain decreased throughout 2018 with the number of planning applications dropping by 2.8% compared with 2017.

The ‘Home Improvers of Great Britain 2019’ report, compiled by construction industry analysts Barbour ABI, shows that across Great Britain there were 2.8% fewer applications for home improvement in 2018 than in 2017. Despite a fall in applications, London held onto the top spot, even though it saw a reduction in the number of planning applications in 29 of its 32 boroughs, whilst the biggest growth in applications came from North West England, with an increase of 5.0% (see figure 1.1).
