GQA Achieves Armed Forces Recognition

 

GQA Qualifications has long recognised that re-introducing service personnel into mainstream commerce has an important role to play in helping to bridge the skills gap for the fenestration industry. The sector’s awarding and qualifications-writing body is therefore pleased to announce that it has now received the bronze award from the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS), having also signed the Armed Forces Covenant.

Jack Aluminum Expands Its Factory Space With Added 17,000 Sq. Ft.

 

Jack Aluminium, has more than doubled the size of its premises with the move to a new location on the outskirts of Coventry.

The move has allowed the aluminium systems supplier to expand its factory space by 17,000 ft² to a total of 28,000 ft². 54 NBP Customers Win Cash Prizes During Women’s World Cup

 

Customers of Northern Building Plastics have been hitting the back of the net this summer thanks to their World Cup Giveaway competition.  Every working day during the Women’s World Cup, NBP gave away £20 for each match played that day to a customer who ordered online. They also doubled the prize, whenever England won, and tripled the prize whenever a hat-trick was scored, resulting in £1,680 worth of cash prizes given away to 54 customers.

Vista Triumphs In Tough Mudder

 

Strength, endurance and stamina were all on show as the team at composite door manufacturer Vista Panels competed in Tough Mudder North West, all in aid of a very worthy cause.

Completing the gruelling obstacle course in just an hour and 54 minutes on 10 September, seven staff members, including managing director Keith Sadler, successfully raised over £13K for the son of one of the company’s team members afflicted by a rare condition.

In 2021, at the age of 19, Kurtis Haley was diagnosed with gluten ataxia, a rare condition that causes the immune system to attack part of the brain as a response to gluten ingestion.
