Does Seasonality Still Exist In Window And Door Sales?

 

Mark Atkinson, sales director at Hurst Doors argues that retailers can no longer rely on seasonality to deliver sales.

I saw a lot of colleagues from right across the industry at the start of this month [Sept].

Among those I spoke to, there was a general sense of hopefulness that September, October and November would deliver sales – a cautious optimism.

New Light Duty S2 Bar From Prefix

 

Prefix has introduced a new light duty bar for the S2 glazed roofing system, helping to provide a lower cost option.

The new light duty bar integrates with the existing square aluminium and PVCu cappings and is perfectly suited for smaller lean-to, Edwardian and Victorian designs and also incorporates the standard jack rafters. Microsoft is ceasing support for Windows Server 2012 on October 10, 2023, putting the security of possibly hundreds of window fabricators at risk if they don’t upgrade their systems, Cyncly business First Degree Systems has warned, but strategic planning now can result in a more efficient and profitable manufacturing operation.

“Many businesses will be looking at two options,” First Degree Systems sales manager Greg Beachim said. “The first is to upgrade the server operating system, but the second is you may be forced to upgrade the server hardware as well. But both come with serious drawbacks.

75% Of Homeowners Expect ADR From Home Improvement Contractors, Says Dispute Assist

 

Three-quarters (75%) of homeowners are more likely to use a home improvement contractor who is part of an alternative dispute resolution (ADR) scheme, meaning businesses who aren’t embracing ADR could be missing out on new business, according to a new report from dispute resolution provider Dispute Assist.

The Future of Disputes in Home Improvement report found that once given a definition of ADR, 64% of homeowners would consider using it in the future to settle their disputes with home improvement contractors. Whilst 31% were still unsure, just 5% of respondents were unwilling to use it.
