AT Precision Experiences Record Summer As Sales Soar Despite Market Disruptions


Aluminium bi-fold hardware supplier AT Precision has experienced a record few months, after taking on several new customers over the summer.

This follows the company’s impressive increase in sales of 342% since opening its doors in February last year.

Sales Director Michael Hewitt attributes the Durham-based company’s success to maintaining a ‘business as usual’ service throughout the pandemic.



Architectural Glass Production Powered By Hydrogen


Pilkington United Kingdom Limited, part of the NSG group, has successfully manufactured architectural glass at its St Helens facility using hydrogen power in a world-first trial, claims the company.

The trial is a key step in the manufacturer’s plans to decarbonise and could see a transition to using hydrogen to power all production at the site, which currently uses natural gas. The switch means that the float glass furnace – which accounts for the majority of the company’s overall carbon emissions – would be able to run with hugely lower emissions.

An energy-saving business has appointed two senior directors before the launch of its ‘game-changing’ ancillary heating product.

Thermocill Limited, which has developed an innovative eco-friendly device enabling a room to heat up quicker at the same time as saving on energy bills, has recently recruited Chris Sweeney as sales director. Conservatory Outlet Group, which employs over 400 people across it 60,000 sq ft factory in Wakefield and retail businesses Clearview and Pennine Home Improvements, has recruited Craig Schmidt to help it strengthen productivity in its manufacturing operations and enhance the level of customer support it provides.

Aluminium trade fabricator Fentrade has signed up to the FIT Show, which runs from 10th – 12th May, 2022.  Chris Reeks, Director of Fentrade, said: “We recognise the FIT Show as the highlight of the exhibition calendar for the UK fenestration industry and the first opportunity for important face-to-face exhibiting, which is why we chose to sign up to the show.”
