Pilkington United Kingdom Limited Invests £3 Million In New Machinery To Increase Structural Glazing Capacity

 

Pilkington United Kingdom Ltd, part of the NSG Group, has invested more than £3 million in new technology to increase its capacity to manufacture Pilkington Planar™, and meet growing market demand for its internationally sold structural glazing system.

The glass manufacturer has invested in a new state of the art toughening furnace, an increased capability heat soak oven, and a glass measuring device. Each will be used as part of the manufacturing process for its Pilkington Planar™ structural glazing system and associated products.

Customade Group Invests In Door Growth

 

Customade Group Trading Limited (“Customade”) has acquired the manufacturing assets of Worcester-based GBW Panels Ltd from administrators Leonard Curtis. The manufacture of GBW panels will be moved to Customade’s Virtuoso Doors division, the Birtley based manufacturer of composite door sets and PVCu door panels.

These changes come into effect immediately and the GBW panel additions will further enhance the extensive range of PVCu door panels already available from Virtuoso. Any former customers of GBW are welcome to contact Tony Craggs the MD of Virtuoso Doors who will work with them to ensure continued availability.

CMS Trade’s Free Recycling Service Helps Installers Save Money And The Environment

 

Window and door installers in Scotland can now take advantage of a free recycling service for their old, post-use windows and doors, which are removed as part of replacement projects, when buying their new products from CMS Trade.

The East Kilbride based company is the new trade window and door division of CMS Window Systems, who have been at the forefront of ‘closed-loop’ recycling in the window industry since their inception in 2006.
