Granada Glazing Seeks Clarification On Secondary Glazing In Green Homes Grant Scheme

 

Granada Glazing is seeking clarification on whether secondary glazing is included in the Government’s recently announced £2 billion Green Homes Grant Scheme aimed at improving the energy efficiency of homes in England, at present.

The secondary glazing specialist has written to the Prime Minister to ask why the secondary glazing element is not mentioned in the Government document, yet other energy-saving measures like double or triple glazing are included.

Number Of Contracts Awarded Increase In June

 

The total value of construction contract awards in June 2020 was £2.2 billion based on a three-month rolling average. Compared to May, this is a decrease of 9.2% and is also 57.3% lower than June 2019. However, contract award numbers in June increased by 81.4% to 477, signalling an improvement in conditions.

The latest edition of the Economic & Construction Market Review from industry analysts Barbour ABI, highlights levels of construction contract values awarded across Great Britain.
