Timber door manufacturer Jeld-Wen has expanded its portfolio with the launch of a new doorset range, designed to support customers with project requirements, whether simple or more complex. February Builders’ Merchant like-for-like sales volumes drop -10.6% year-on-year |

The latest Builders Merchant Building Index (BMBI) report, published in April, shows February’s total like-for-like value sales (adjusted to remove the effect of trading days) were -4.3% lower than the same month in 2025. Like-for-like volume sales were down -10.6% while prices increased +7.0%.
With no difference in trading days, total unadjusted value sales were also -4.3% lower, with volumes down -10.6% and prices up +7.0%. By value, six of the twelve categories sold more with Renewables... |

Green Doors founder receives King’s Award in unprecedented ceremony |

A Luton entrepreneur who built a £2 million business from doors found in a skip received one of the UK’s highest honours earlier this month in a ceremony that returned him to where it all began.
Joseph Holman, founder of Green Doors, was presented with the King’s Award for Enterprise for Sustainable Development by the Lord Lieutenant of Bedfordshire Mrs Susan Lousada on Friday April 29th.
