Kubu Eyes Quadruple Awards Success

by | Nov 21, 2023 | G Awards

Designer and vertically integrated manufacturer of smart sensing technology for the fenestration industry, Kubu Smart is hoping to continue its run of award success.

Having won both Door Component of the Year and Window Component of the Year at the National Fenestration Awards in late October, the business is now a finalist in no less than four categories at the imminent G23 awards.

This is the highest number of nominations for a single company in the G Awards’ nineteen-year history.

Specifically, Kubu is shortlisted for Component Supplier of the Year and New Product of the Year. It has also been shortlisted for the Best Business Initiative of the Year for its ‘Works with Kubu’ strategy, whilst Morgan Fisher, marketing executive at the company, is a finalist for the Rising Star award.

Taking place this year on Friday 24th November 2023 at the London Hilton on Park Lane, the G Awards have become an established platform for recognising and rewarding excellence across the window and doors sector.

The event celebrates those individuals and organisations from across the UK market who have shown outstanding levels of innovation or performance.

Kubu’s shortlisting recognises its impressive achievements over the last 12 months.

During this time period, the business has extended its range and secured a number of additional patents to protect the proprietary technology employed across its products.

Kubu says it has also become the first manufacturer of smart sensors to have its devices and software awarded IASME Level 2 IoT Accreditation (the highest level possible).

Perfectly complementing the PAS 24 approval of the locks Kubu technology is commonly used alongside, IASME Level 2 IoT Accreditation demonstrates that an internet-connected device offers exceptional cyber-security.

It entails products and services being independently assessed across the 13 areas of the global consumer IoT security standard, ETSI EN 303 645, and far exceeds the three mandatory provisions currently required by the UK Government.

In addition to IASME Level 2 IoT Accreditation, Kubu technology enjoys full IoT and Secured by Design Secure Connected Device certification.

“Our recent award success is a testament to the growing recognition of both the strength and unique nature of our offer” comments Ryan Bromley, co-founder of Kubu.

“All of our products benefit from patented and proven technology that enables them to protect all of the windows and exterior doors throughout a property in a cost effective and above all, reliable way that doesn’t entail repeat callbacks for the installer or fabricator.”

He continues: “We are delighted to be nominated in four categories at the pending G23 Awards as simply making it to the shortlist is an achievement in its own right. We wish all of our fellow finalists, the very best of luck.”
