DoorCo announces the release of ORiGINAL, the evolved foam-filled composite door range. Following the GRiPCORE and FLiP launches early this year, which delivered the company’s latest innovations with strong new identities, the composite door manufacturer has applied the same process to their foam-filled core door, positioning it as an inclusive introduction to the world of DoorCo.
“Our foam-filled core composite door is one of the best on the market and the foundation of our business,” says Dan Sullivan, DoorCo MD. “With all the new innovations coming into play, the foam-filled core composite door could be seen as an “entry level” solution, but the reality is it’s highly engineered and sets the benchmark in the market when it comes to quality and thermal performance. It’s an inclusive introduction to the world of DoorCo and is deserving of its own place in the DoorCo house of brands with a unique identity that suits its class. And what better choice than ORiGINAL.
“ORiGINAL is developed specifically for the UK market. It has passed the rigours of PAS 24 in line with Approved Document Q, every door is Q-Mark stamped giving UK customers peace of mind on manufacturing process and quality. The structure consists of a PU foam core, encompassed by an LVL (Laminated Veneer Lumber) subframe to provide strength and rigidity, and finished with DoorCo’s signature 44mm GRP outer skins to protect the home from the elements and offer minimal thermal expansion and contraction rates under extreme temperature variations.
“The foundation of the ORiGINAL range is still DoorCo’s 9 slab options with the same wide range of door designs, appealing to both the commercial and retail sectors. We have however made a few advancements to reflect the evolution of DoorCo and the market.
“Firstly, we have categorised our door styles into 3 collections to support the changing trends in architectural design: Traditional, Contemporary, and Designer. Within the collections there have been some design enhancements as we switch over to our new glazing cassette system, FLiP.
“The FLiP Standard cassette has a redesigned bevelled finish that has refreshed our traditional doors and has opened up opportunities for new options on favourites. FLiP’s two squared-off contemporary designs are partnered with our unique Monza II and Links doors to create the exciting new Designer collection. FLiP Flat Grained has also been used alongside Inox in the Contemporary collection to enhance designs on the Flush slab.
“To support the launch of ORiGINAL, we’ve invested in a comprehensive suite of marketing collateral to aid and support customers’ own marketing. This includes a redesigned door brochure in line with the new ORiGINAL brand that is aspirational and will hopefully create desire with every homeowner for a DoorCo door.
“There’s still more to come from DoorCo over the coming months with PAiNT, GLAZiNG, and a whole new refresh of the DoorCo brand, a lot of which can be previewed in new ORiGINAL brochure: www.paperturn-view.com/uk/doorco-technology/original-brochure-edition-1-brought-to-you-by-doorco?pid=MTg180165&v=2.1”
