Timber joinery specialists Rated Solutions have been announced as the winner of the Promat Systemglas Installer of the Year award after demonstrating excellence in the installation of a number of superior quality and complex fire resistant glazing projects during 2023.

The company has partnered with Promat UK for more than five years, and its expertise at the installation stage of the fire resistant glazing supply chain has played a key role in regularly achieving high levels of client satisfaction, claims the company.  As an approved installer, Rated Solutions benefits from extensive technical support from Promat, and its team has received comprehensive training on all the Systemglas systems and options.

Amongst the Promat Systemglas projects delivered by Rated Solutions in 2023 was Victorian Market in Inverness – a location which required the team to work more than 600 miles away from home! Here, the team installed EI60 (integrity and insulation) fire-rated timber doors and an arched glazing feature for one of the entrances to a newly refurbished market hall.

In another project involving a heritage building, Rated Solutions completed the installation of a large gothic fire resistant window, again using Systemglas Ligna, as part of the multi-million pound refurbishment of Rochdale Town Hall. And in Sheffield, the company pulled-out all the stops to ensure an office developer could complete a fit-out in record time with the installation of several large Systemglas Ligna EI30 screens, two of which featured doors.

In addition to providing Promat with an installation service, Rated Solutions also provides the company with a joinery service.

Commenting on winning the award, Fodos Joannides “Joe” of Rated Solutions said:  “We’re thrilled to be presented with this award from a great systems partner. The support Promat has provided to our team over the past few years has enabled us to really understand the systems and focus on the finer details that makes a massive difference to the end result.”

Cath McLean, sales manager for Glass at Promat UK added:  “Congratulations to Joe and the team. With a number of excellent companies within our Systemglas approved installer network, it was never going to be easy to choose a winner for this award.

“However, we decided that the accolade should go to Rated Solutions given the tremendous versatility and flexibility they’ve demonstrated throughout the last 12 months, which has resulted in some fantastic client feedback.”
