Morley Glass Hits 1,000-Tonne Glass Recycling Milestone

 

Uni-Blinds integral blind manufacturer Morley Glass has saved over 1,000 tonnes of post-consumer glass from going to landfill in just two years, and instead diverted it into the production of new glass in a scheme that has provided funding of more than £60,000 for environmental and community schemes in West Yorkshire, claims the company

Morley Glass is the UK’s largest manufacturers of double glazed units with ScreenLine integral blind systems inside, offering installers a range of Venetian and pleated blind options.

In 2020, the company invested in reducing its process waste and providing a post-consumer glass recycling service to installers by commissioning machinery that could crush waste glass into what is known as cullet.

Premier Arches Spearheads Production With New Mezzanine Expansion

 

Arched frame manufacturer Premier Arches has further expanded its production facility with the installation of a new 2,000 square foot mezzanine floor at its St Helens headquarters.

The additional production space will be used purely for profile bending, allowing the company to really ramp up and streamline its processes.

Contemporary Appeal For Home Refurb Project

 

A 4-bedroom 1990’s detached home in Aberford, West Yorkshire has been transformed by domestic and commercial fabricator and installer, Kingfisher Windows. The domestic project included the installation of fourteen flush casement windows, two sets of French doors with side panels and a new 3m x 3m conservatory all manufactured from Optima by Epwin Window Systems. The six-week installation was part of a total house renovation project.
